EU funds – support of energy savings

1.6.2017

The current article applies to one specific call within the OPPIK Energy Savings programme only, which is announced as ongoing until the spring of 2018 and in which it is possible to win the support for the implementation of measurements, which contribute to saving the overall consumption of energy by business entities.

The support applies, especially, to the modernisation / reconstruction of existing plants for the production of energy for one’s own consumption to increasing its efficiency, the modernisation of the distribution of electricity, gas and heat in buildings, measurement systems and regulations, thermal insulation, the replacement of openings, heat recovery, RES for one’s own consumption, replacement of lighting, as well as energy-saving production technologies, etc.

The subsidy is in the amount of 30 – 50 % according to the size of business, in total amount of 0.5 – 250 million CZK.

Applicants can be companies without size limitations and especially from a wide range of economic activities, including agriculture activities.

The receipt of applications is scheduled until 30. 3. 2018. However, interest for this support is not so large at this time and it is possible that part of the allocated 11 billion CZK will be reallocated to other measures. Therefore, if companies are planning similar investments into energy savings over the next 3 years, it would be appropriate to consult that project as soon as possible and, if necessary, to prepare a grant application. This requires, among other things, an energy assessment, project documentation and a detailed item budget.

In the future, other special types of supports are being prepared in the area of energy savings, such as separate lighting realisation, FVE installation or thermal panels, not only for one’s own consumption.
