New OPPIK Real Estate programme
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is preparing two new programmes in the Real Estate programme for SMEs this June. The programmes follow last year’s revision of the Operational Programme Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Competitiveness (OPPIK), when after several years the European Commission authorised the Czech Republic the reintroduction of tourism support under EU funds, to a limited extent in the form of financial instruments and revitalisation of brownfields.
The texts and specific terms of the programme are at the preparatory stage. Below are only the basic assumptions on which the programme should be based.
Real estate – IV. Programme – Tourism (allocation of CZK 0.6 billion):
- Modernisation of obsolete and inadequate real estate, which can be reused for the development of tourism business activities and services in small and medium business in tourism; acquisition of new technologies up to a maximum of 30% of eligible expenditure. Subsidies will not be allocated to golf courses, water parks, development projects, etc.
- Support should be directed to the territory of exhaustively defined small rural municipalities with exceptional tourism potential (a specific list of 57 municipalities defined by the Institute for Spatial Development).
Real estate – V. Programme – Coal Regions (allocation of CZK 1.4 billion):
- Modernisation of obsolete and inadequate real estate, which can be reused for the development of entrepreneurial activities and SME services in supported by Classification of economic activities in defined coal regions.
- Support is intended only for the Moravian-Silesian, Ústí nad Labem and Karlovy Vary regions.
Announcement of programmes is scheduled for 17 June 2019, and applications will be accepted from 16 September 2019 to 15 June 2020.
